When we aren't caught out by school holidays (we really must find friends who know these dates), we always leave our cat here. Yes, she may hide under the blanket as soon as we drop her off, I'm sure this isn't out of disdain that she is no longer going to be sleeping on our bed, sorry her bed, or her settee, or her foot pouffe, or her conservatory furniture for the foreseeable future until we saunter back from our jollies for her. The owners are friendly and welcoming, the cattery is clean and comfortable and despite our cat's best efforts to make us feel guilty when we drop her off, she is always a picture of health and very pleased to see us when we return. We'll only look elsewhere if they're ever (heaven forbid) fully booked when we call...
Having just come across this comment and being one of the owners of the Cattery I am amazed and disappointed at the previous review. 90% of our customer base is recommended to us and of those 85% become very regular customers, some visiting four or five times a year. Knowing that being on site we always check on the health, safety and welfare of every cat that visits the cattery - a vet is constantly on hand if ever needed, which is a rarity ( and then only usually for known previous medical reasons) as the cats remain in their own individual purpose built windowed rooms with the customer themselves putting them in and collecting them from the said rooms. The cattery has a well deserved excellent reputation, recommended both by previous and current customers and local vets. We provide whatever food the customer usually provides ( and constantly) unfortunately some cats do not eat when they initially come in to a cattery as they are, understandably, nervous and no amount of tempting will change their minds. We do not attempt to force feed! I appreciate any constructive critisism or concerns are voiced either verbally or in person as with out this we are unable address them to everyones satisfaction. The above rating is from a sample from our valued and regular customers.

I have nothing but positive comments to make. All the staff (receptionists, nurses and vets) are so caring and genuinely love animals. Our 9 yr old Labrador recently had a cancerous lump removed and we have had fabulous treatment. Our 10.5 yr old is having an unrelated cancerous lump removed tomorrow and I am completely confident he will receive the best possible care. To comments relating to cost, I can only say 'You get what you pay for' and I'm confident we are paying for the best.
Great vets lovely staff.bit more expensive than some vets but you get what you pay for They have been very careing to my cairn Sam.

The service provided at Jamie Winstones veterinary practice recently was nothing short of excellent, 5 stars is not enough. Our girl was seen by both vets at the practise who discussed in detail the treatment and surgery required, whilst our girl was given lots of love and attention by the nurses. My dog had developed a sudden very severe eye problem and we had been advised by an eye specialist veterinary center the costs would be 4 figures to operate and treat. I was shocked when I was given the estimate at this practise which was over 8 times cheaper than what I had been quoted elsewhere. I'm happy to say that 3 weeks after the consultation, surgery and lots of love and care from the nurses our girl can see again and her eyes are now in perfect health. This is not the first time we have used the practice although only found this google review page by chance after losing my phone and searching for the phone number, but felt instantly that I should leave this review. In my opinion and after trying many vets over the past 20 years in different locations throughout the UK, I have found this practise to be friendly, caring, expertly knowledgeable and very reasonably priced and by far the best local practise veterinary center I have ever come across.
Really good service, superb vets

Have been taking my dog here for 2 years and very impressed with treatment and checks, including spaying. Thank you..
Pricing of small animal checkups and medical services are reasonable. Friendly staff out front. I came in once with my syrian hamster that had overgrown top teeth for the second time. The nurse was fairly knowledgeable about what's happened but wasn't fluent English. She took her away in her carrying case and that was the last of her for around 20 minutes. When she came back she was dizzy from the anaesthetic. Got home and let her rest for a bit but noticed that one side of her head was indent almost as if she's had a small stroke or quite possibly the nurse was rough with her trying to get into her mouth. I'm not sure what happened but I wasn't aware at the time however if I knew this beforehand I would've said something immediately. CHECK YOUR PET BEFORE YOU LEAVE. ESPECIALLY SMALL ANIMALS.
