Local Restaurants & Places to Eat around Burton-on-Trent

Gurkha Curry Lounge/ Indian Restaurant Burton

48 Station St, Burton-on-Trent DE14 1AX, UK – 01283 510955

I have never rated a restaurant before but I felt compelled to after a staying an evening in Burton Upon Trent on a business trip, hopefully one of many as I intend to re-visit this fabulous restaurant. The service was impeccable, the staff were polite from start to finish, and the food was incredible. I have eaten in many good quality Indian restaurants and this one is up there with the best. Try the Everest Beer if you're a lager drinker, not my usual preference, it has a slight sweetness that complemented the food. 5+ ☺

Best indian food around this area. Me being an Indian can confirm that you will taste authentic indian food here. Great staff. Can't give any less than 5 star. I am glad that I found this place for an Indian curry.

Mezbaan Indian Restaurant

127 New St, Burton-on-Trent DE14 3QW, UK – 01283 619996

Great food and fantastic service every time. Our favourite.

This is a great restaurant. Nice food. Nice people. Very good service. They cater for all food intolerance you just have to ask.

Apne India Cuisine

43A Cross St, Burton-on-Trent DE14 1EF, UK – 01283 511813

Best local Asian food with a brilliant owner. Where nothing is too much trouble.if there is something that is not on the menu Mr Hussain is always willing to make the dish that you require. Very busy on weekends that he offers two sittings 7pm and 9pm. So booking is advisable in advance due to its popularity.

A gem of a restaurant which has never disappointed whether we have eaten in or had takeaway. Many people in Burton have still not discovered Apne as it's a short walk out of the town centre. But of those who have, I never heard anyone have a bad report. There is no alcohol licence but they serve a wide range of soft drinks, you can take your own alcohol or pop to the great pub next door and bring back a pint. Offers great value and quality food. Takeaway portions are HUGE, so be careful how much you order.
